- Description:
- A laminated die cut sound and vibration insulating panel. These parts conform to interior of an electronic cabinet. They perform a dampening function that helps reduce noise in order to comply with state and municipal government standards on noise levels in populated areas.
- Application:
- Telecommunications switching equipment cabinets. Other applications include many other electronic enclosure applications where sound and vibration dampening are required.
- Material Used:
- Polyester urethane foam with an aluminized mylar flame retardant surface with a special chemical treatment for sound absorption.
- Other Materials:
- Acoustical foam without aluminized mylar surface.
- Tolerances:
- ± .060 inch
- Production Rates:
- 20,000 pieces/month with existing steel rule die tooling.
