Composite EMI/RFI and EMP Gasket

Description:

A combination EMI/RFI and EMP Gasket constructed from a closed cell sponge rubber assembly with a monel wire mesh insert. Assembling and bonding the rubber together reduces material waste. A rubber based adhesive secures the monel wire mesh to the rubber after the die cutting and assembly of the rubber. A dry back adhesive applied to one side facilitates installation.

Application:

Connecting 2 electronic enclosures where the junction requires an environmental, EMI and EMP Shield.

Material Used:

.125 inch thick closed cell sponge rubber, die cut and assembled.
.125 inch square monel wire mesh.

Other Materials:

Silicone sponge rubber, solid neoprene, or silicone rubber.

Tolerances:

± .015 inch.

Production Rates:

Over 200 pieces per day with existing tooling.
