Description:
A low cost one ounce die cut neoprene rubber part used to provide additional weight to a telephone handset. The additional weight provides enough weight in the handset to operate the hook switch properly. Cut-outs and notches provide clearance for mating plastic parts. The flexibility of the material allows it to conform to the shape of the handset without any additional forming operations.
Application:
Telecommunications - handset for consumer telephone.
Material Used:
.250 inch thick neoprene rubber.
Other Materials:
Any other rubber material .250 inch thick that is flexible and will not react with ABS plastic.
Tolerances:
± .030 inch
Production Rates:
50,000 parts per day with existing tooling.
